Promotion of the Arts in high school?

Have you noticed how the children at school are interested not really more art? At least, this is the case in my school. Let's pretend I'm in student council. What kind of ideas are there to promote the arts more effectively? Ie) Arts Showcase "School is more promotional" More promotion of music, Battle of the Bands, karaoke cafes Food Talent show, ETC.

Oh yes, I noticed. I'll be teaching band, so I noticed. In my classes, we talked about how to get kids to connect with the music. Everyone can feel the connection between high school Kid today and Mozart, or at least Holsinger. We talked about adding more fresh classes - perhaps an acoustic guitar lesson for anyone interested. Or class composition that allows children to explore their creativity! How About a sort of world music, where students learn not only about the music different cultures, but try to play it. Then come to feel music - instead of read about or listen to an old tape. Of course, this its significant limitations, but I think it would be worthwhile. I like the idea of talent shows varieties. It allows children to express their creativity. Even during the general music in the past primary could help. You can do fun activities, as each take their favorite artist in the group. They can give you an address bar, then the whole class listening to a song. Thus, they share what they feel close, while exposure to different styles of music. I also always liked the idea of the probability that a "second" genre. Many children do not start band or orchestra, chorus, 5th year (or any date for it in the neighborhood). I know many wishing they would, but I can not. A class of second chance to allow students to learn their instrument or voice, then join their group next year! wow, I wrote a lot. hehe.

Fourteen years later, Oliveros noticed an explosion of new talent from around the globe, so he decided to combine two of the things he does best—publishing anthologies and nurturing talent. The result is the Drawn & Quarterly Showcase, which is one of the most exciting outlets for readers to find new comics talent.Book Three features three cartoonists from around the world: Genevieve CastrĂ©e from Canada, Matt Broersma from England, and Sammy Harkham from the United States, whose previous graphic novella, Poor Sailor, was excerpted in the David Eggers–edited Best American Nonrequired Reading 2004.
